People often don’t realize just how important it is to eat for a healthy gut.

Our gut health is pivotal to our overall health. It is quite literally the epicenter to which our bodies derive it’s functions. They don’t use the term ‘trust your gut’ for nothing. So, what exactly does a gut healthy, daily diet consist of?

Morning: A great way to start your morning is with natural oatmeal. Add boiling water, a pinch of salt, and top with blueberries, chopped almonds or pecans, and even drizzle a bit of honey or maple syrup. If you are into meal-prepping, you can create this overnight.

Lunch: Kale is always a great green to go with for a healthy salad. Add a white protein such as turkey or chicken. If you are not lactose intolerant, top with feta cheese. Add cooked quinoa, and red peppers with a balsamic vinaigrette for dressing.

Snack: A glass of Kombucha and mandarins are a great way to maintain healthy digestion throughout your day.

Dinner: Cooked lentils, and roasted root vegetables are a super healthy way to end your day. A tahini dressing and dash of parsley will add a savory flavor to your dinner.

There you have it, four meals that will boost gut-health and help maintain a happy, healthy body.
