All-Green Diet: Is It Worth It?

I tried something totally different with my meals. For seven straight days, I ate only green vegetables. That meant no bread, no meat, no snacks, no sweets. Just greens like spinach, broccoli, zucchini, green beans, lettuce, kale, cucumbers, and whatever else looked leafy and healthy.

Here’s how it went and what I learned.

Day one was tough

I missed carbs so much. My stomach felt empty, and I was cranky. I kept thinking about pasta and sandwiches. Kale was not doing it for me. But I drank a lot of water and powered through.

By day three, things started to change

I wasn’t bloated anymore. My stomach felt lighter, and I had more energy than I expected. I thought I’d feel weak without all the usual stuff I eat, but I actually felt sharper and more awake.

My skin looked better

This surprised me. My skin started to clear up, especially on my forehead. It looked fresh and had a bit of a glow. I think all the fiber and hydration had something to do with it.

I felt more in control of my habits

Eating only greens made me realize how often I reach for snacks without thinking. This week gave me a sense of discipline I didn’t expect. It reminded me that I don’t always need to eat for comfort.

Final thoughts

Trying this out made me appreciate vegetables more and helped me reset some habits. I wouldn’t recommend doing it forever, but a few days? Sure. It’s a good way to clean up your meals and pay attention to how your body feels.
